Our Story

7000 Islands was born from a deep desire to create something meaningful—for myself and my community. After years in corporate sourcing, I felt burned out and disconnected, and wanted something more fulfilling.

In 2019, I moved to Berlin- seeking a slower and more intentional life. But as the world shifted during the pandemic, I saw people rediscovering their homes and craving for more authenticity. That’s when I realized I could offer something special—handcrafted treasures from the Philippines, made with tradition, quality, and fairness at the core.

Our collection is built around Abaca, a natural fiber known for its strength, and eco-friendliness. 90% of our products are made using this special fiber, each one a testament to the artistry and dedication of Filipino artisans. But 7000 Islands is more than just home décor— it’s about mindful consumption, celebrating tradition, and supporting small, women-led businesses that keep these crafts alive.

I hope you can join us on this journey- and celebrate stories that are handwoven and carried by the spirit of community.
